Female and Male Sorcerer by eikomakimachi Female and Male Sorcerer by eikomakimachi
My submission to the Fantasy Earth Zero Contest. I always prefer the magic users, so I decided to redesign The Sorcerer for this one. I wanted to give them a more contemporary look and yet let the essence of medieval character come to them. I'm not sure I'll win anything out of this (like always, they day I win a DA contest I think I'll cry of happiness), but I'm really happy with the final result.

About the outfits, I also wanted them to wear clothes that expressed their movement better. A sorcerer is not as active as a warrior, but they cannot fight with clothes that make their movements rigid, for they have to run and jump while casting spells. And for some reason I dislike how most female sorcerer designs seem to not wear much clothes, and they usually look like a mix of witch and odalisc =/. I tried to reach something different from that look.

Lovely work! I like your way of coloring! The girl's face seems a little squished to me but I love the outfits!

I really don't think I can ever compete with you. If Square is watching this sight, they should really keep their eyes on you. Your eye for color and shading cannot be beaten and you can still feel the texture of their skin, hair, and clothes. Really have to check out Fantasy Earth Zero now, but I now fear that what I'm in for won't compare to what I see from you. I'm one to use females in role-playing games, but you made it hard to choose, I really enjoy both versions of this mage class. Hope you continue to inspire Eiko-sensei :iconiloveyouplz:
