Took the title from my Kenshin Kaden book. (Damn this word limit on title box. It's "In a gentle dream - Final Version.)
-----SPOILER of the mangá, don't read this if you don't want to spoil it -------
Inspired on the Jinchuu saga, when Kenshin is depressed after Kaoru's "death". Tomoe's ghost/spirit never hated Kenshin, and she feels his pain.
------ END OF THE SPOILER --------
For *hakubaikou's contest, Dreams & Nightmares. For Kenshin, Tomoe is at the same time a dream (he loves her) and a nightmare (he regrets painfully what he did to her). Dunno if I need to explain more.
The final version is a bit smaller, as the contest rules says that the images must be less than 1000 pixels in width and height.
Edit (May 20th 2005): I've had time just for the background.
Edit (May 21st 2005): I've started working on Kenshin.
Edit (May 23rd 2005): Started working on Tomoe. Finished basic colouring of Kenshin.
Edit (May 26th 2005): Almost finishing.
Edit (May 27th 2005): Finished.
I love how soft the picture looks with the falling rain. It's a very pretty picture and I especially love the message. Congrats on your Honerable Mention by the way!
You know, I only saw the OAV of the Jinchuu, and oh, how I wanna know the whole story. I'm finally been convinced it is worth hunting down the manga of it... though I'm not sure how I'll do that. This is sooooo beautiful. You're a very talented artist.
Oh, if you are a RK fan, you MUST have the mangá! It's plot is so much better than the anime. And you can understand more about the OVAs after reading it ^^. I have the whole collection.
But seriously this is beautiful. ^-^
I like the effects of the heavy rain and how she's helping him, like she did in the manga.
