A summer pic of Kuja. I really tried to draw him doing the same thing wearing trunks, but it didn't have the same effect XD.

Sorry for the crappy lineart and coloring, I did this for fun.

Edit: Yes, yes, Kuja is showing the index finger XD. And so does I feel doing lately *quite pissed off with some things*

Sanju: I've decided! I'll travel alone.
Nijuku: EH!?
Sanju: I'm not going to rely on Kuro-chan, I'll find the professer myself.
Nijuku: Can I have your candy then?
Sanju: ...I'll leave after Kuro-chan comes back.

Legally, its questionable. Morally, its disgusting. Personally, I like it!

I use separate layer for water in photoshop. That layer should go over the layers with elements that are "under water".

As for the coloring itself, you have to keep in mind that water is a complex enviroment that shows reflection and shadow. When it's "frozen", it's like a mirror, but when it's in movement, it doesn't reflect everything. The reflection also depends on the perspective angle and the disturbing action on the water. The more "disturbed" is the water, the less defined is the reflection of the water.

As for the transparency, it depends on the same factors, plus the clearness of it.

A good way to practice is to use pictures with water as reference first to actually learn how the water "behaves".

I hope I could help you ^^;, I really don't have any good "how to do" tutorial for paiting water, I kinda learnt it after much practice

Hey there! I wanted to thank you for typing up a quick how-to for me about the water. I know it was a while ago that you did this for me but my computer crashed shortly after and its been a long time coming before I could get another one. but I kept your advice and now that I have the opportunity to give it a shot I would like to send my grattitude. Thanks a bunch =)
